Once a year, as spring’s vibrant blooms awaken Melbourne, the surrounding mulberry trees burst with new leaves, signalling the beginning of one of nature’s most transformative journeys. Each silkworm is hand-fed the finest and most tender mulberry leaves, expertly curated and selected according to its unique desires, culminating in the production of a single cocoon of pure silk, perfectly ovate in shape.
Captivated by the silkworm's ethereal spirit as a child, Taylor embarked on a journey of discovery. Delving into the rich heritage of the ancient Seres lands, he uncovered the stories of women renowned for hands as soft as the silk they cultivated—skills passed down through centuries of tradition.
